BoxingYoga™

BoxingYoga™ is intensive yoga class based on boxing and yoga moves.

It was Matt Garcia’s idea. In 2011 he was looking for the yoga style to protect health and improve performance of recreational and competitive boxers at his Get FIT Not HIT™ boxing’ club, Total Boxer, in North London.

After intense development period, BoxingYoga™ was designed by Matt Garcia, Kajza Ekberg (lifelong yoga practitioner, martial artist and former international contemporary dancer), Deniz Ates (Total Boxer Head Coach), with the help of physiotherapists, osteopaths and other sports therapists.

In 2013, BoxingYoga™ was introduced to the wider yoga community at Europe’s biggest Yoga Show in London. Since then, BoxingYoga™ getting more and more popular around the world.

It is beneficial not only for boxers but also for martial artists, athletes, tennis and golf players etc. One-hour sequence divided in 4 Stages and 12 Rounds. It is designed to improve your strength, stamina, flexibility, body awareness and ability to stay focused under pressure
